“Scrap” metal is simply any excess metal from a larger part. It can also be any metal that is obsolete such as machinery, new production stock, appliances, etc.
 

WHo can sell SCRAP METAL?

Anyone with a valid form of identification and lawful ownership can legally sell scrap metal. This is local and state law.
 

What are the types of scrap metal?

Ferrous is a metal alloy that contains the element Iron (Fe). Examples: Cast & Wrought Iron, Mild & Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel and more…

Non Ferrous is the opposite. An alloy or element that does not contain Iron. Examples: Aluminum, Brass, Copper, Lead, Silver, Gold and more…

Almost anywhere. Examples: Appliances, Tools, Machinery & Equipment, Automotive Parts, Manufacturing & Processing Plants, Construction, Demolition, Electrical & Plumbing.

The prices of scrap metal are constantly changing as they are a commodity and fluctuate on a trading market. Variables that may affect the price of metal can include supply & demand, geographic location and energy costs.
